Sheet Metal Sample

The sample images detail a 1.6mm sheet metal guard to be positioned over an engine fan drive. The bracket has been made out of laser cut stainless steel and folded nine times to achieve the finished article.

To achieve rigidity the box is fastened together at the tab returns removing the requirement for welds. The other images show the flat pattern, finished part drawing, assembly rendering and 3D top level assembly of the guard in situ on the engine.
